¡P      EU Advanced Manifest Regulation ¡V Entry Summary Declaration (ENS)

 

CLG shared the following latest information regarding the EU ENS regulation for Members¡¦ reference that is self-explanatory.

 

(1)   IATA has issued an advisory to the industry regarding postal code requirement for the EU ENS. The European Commission indicated (unofficially) that a dash (-) can be used in countries where shippers/freight forwarders have not been issued postal codes. IATA has been in contact with the Universal Postal Union (UPU) who has provided the following documents,

 

Ø        List of all countries that use postal codes [Download]

Ø        List of countries that do not have postal codes [Download]

 

The UPU website also provides a free postcode look-up to access the web service provided by the posts of many countries to verify postal codes.

(3)   ENS is mandatory for all goods going into the EU including transit.
