Wildlife trade is one of the world's most pressing conservation challenges, affecting hundreds of millions of people and thousands of wildlife species. Forwarders may be unwittingly implicated in Illegal Wildlife Trade –
but they can also play an important role to prevent, detect, report it
& end wildlife trafficking. Knowledge of red flags &
high-risk routes for wildlife trafficking helps Customs to target risky cargo
& detect illegal wildlife products. Members please refer to the following resources provided by WWF and TRAFFIC to find out why wildlife trafficking matters to forwarders and tips/red flags to detect illicit items.
