With the Easter holidays approaching, it is expected that some logistics and freight forwarding companies may be hired to store or convey goods which are suspected to be Dangerous Goods (DG). To avoid contravening the Dangerous Goods Ordinance, Chapter 295, Laws of Hong Kong and to prevent explosions, fires, hazardous chemical spillage, etc. arising from handling clients’ goods, the FSD issued an advisory letter and publicity poster to remind Members of the legal liability of storage, conveyance or use of DG and to observe the Dangerous Goods Regulations governing the storage, conveyance and use of DG during daily logistics and freight forwarding operations.
